Convocation
Charlotte Latin School’s class of 2025 officially began their senior year by donning their academic gowns for Convocation Exercises in Thies Auditorium.
Excerpts from the convocation address by Upper School History Teacher Whitney Duquette:
Recognize people by name and be willing to collaborate; be curious and ask thoughtful questions, really listen to peoples’ answers and contributions, be conscientious of what you say and how you evaluate others, slow down and don’t interrupt, pay attention to how things are said and to what’s not said, and be each others’ advocates. You have the fortitude, intellect, and awareness to step into the type of community that we want to be.
