Cookie Election

In the Middle School, students learned about the mechanics of American democracy in a hotly contested election pitting two cookies against each other — the Oreo versus the chocolate chip cookie. Through the fall, students registered to vote and lobbied for their favorites. Democracy has its perks: when the chocolate chip cookie triumphed, every student got to enjoy one.
